Rath Yatra_Konika

One of the grandest festivals in Odisha’s cultural calendar, Rath Yatra draws lakhs of devotees every year. After a two-year break due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra is back.

While Jagannath Rath Yatra is synonymous with the holy Odisha town of Puri, where this is the main festival of the year, the Kolkata rath yatras also see record turnouts. During the yatra, decorated chariots of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra are taken out as people celebrate the day with much fanfare and enthusiasm.

This year our Konika children also celebrate Rathyatra in their own way. They have decorated Rath (chariot) by different decorative papers, flowers etc. They enjoyed the occasion with all of us. They have taken their Rath in front of the office premises.

At last snacks and sweets are distributed amongst all. It was very beautiful and memorable evening for all of us.
